DIY Orange Vinegar Cleaner Recipe

DIY Orange Vinegar Cleaner

A simple all purpose cleaner made from just two natural ingredients.
Servings: 1 bottle

Ingredients

  • Peels from 2-4 oranges
  • White vinegar (enough to cover peels)
  • *Optional: Fresh rosemary or basil

Equipment

  • 16 oz Glass Jar

Method

  1. Add the orange peels and fresh herbs (optional) into a clean glass jar.
  2. Cover the peels and herbs completely with white vinegar.
  3. Seal the jar tightly.
  4. Store the jar in a cool, dark place for at least two weeks. This allows the orange peels to infuse with the vinegar, creating a potent cleaning solution.
  5. After the infusion period, strain the liquid into a clean glass spray bottle and discard the used orange peels.
  6. Dilute the concentrated orange-vinegar infusion with equal parts water.

Notes

I recommend adding a piece of wax paper between the glass jar and your lid, as vinegar can erode at the lid – this will help protect against it!
