DIY Hyaluronic Acid Serum

Create your own hydrating DIY hyaluronic acid serum to plump, smooth, and rejuvenate your skin using simple, natural ingredients.
Servings: 2 ounces

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp water
  • 1/8 tsp hyaluronic acid powder
  • 1/2 tsp carrier oil
  • 9 drops preservative (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp glycerin
  • 5 drops essential oil (optional)

Method

  1. Sprinkle the hyaluronic acid powder into the water. Slowly stir. It will clump together. Wait a few hours, until you can stir and there are no more clumps.
  2. Add in your essential oils to the carrier oil.
  3. Then mix in the carrier oil and glycerin to the water mixture and stir to combine.
  4. To Use: Apply a few drops to clean, dry skin once a day.

Notes

  • The essential oil is optional.
  • With a preservative, this should last for a few months. Without one, keep it in the fridge and it should last a week or two. Leucidal or Geogard ECT are good preservatives.
